awakening to the inner garden
learning to accept it and live within it
we uncover the mysterious seed of divine life within us
lovingly energizing our lives moment to moment
(1 John 3:9)
the Spirit of Christ alive in our hearts
this is the gift of contemplation
the intimacy we crave
remaining in the garden
aware that we live
and breathe
and exist
in God
we find strength
to resist the temptation to project our thoughts into the future
and become overwhelmed with fears
rather
we find our home in the present moment
a gate into the eternal Now
it is here
in the dynamism of the present
that God finds us
