a connecting
a joining
the body being the body
we had been close before
but this was new
like a ligament had been formed
connecting bone to bone
heart to heart
there was a fragility
in the vulnerability
that somehow produced a strength
what a privilege it is to be part of the body
what a wonder to be so connected
all while knowing
the connection
the heart to heart
goes horizontally
at the same moment
